Wake up to Lake Champlain each morning and enjoy coffee on the private dock. Our “House in the Woods” is located at the end of a private road on Pelot Bay, nestled in a cedar grove. Waterfront has a private dock, high bank with a ramp to the water for launching a boat if you have 4 wheel drive vehicle. Other private launches nearby if you do not have a 4 wheel drive. Cottage includes a 14 ft. fishing boat, motor rental available. The bay area is very quiet, no traffic, no neighbors. There is no housing in sight, except across the bay. Spacious unit completely furnished except linens & towels, unless previous arrangements are made. |

Located 30 miles north of Burlington, VT, one hour south
of Montreal and one hour to Jay Peak, 90 minutes to Stowe VT; each
make great day excursions. Knight Point State Park is 2 miles south in North Hero
with its own sandy beach and picnic area. Come and enjoy the peace and quiet. |

To make reservations
for:
Pelot Cottage rentals: To
reserve this cottage one-half of the cost is necessary and
non-refundable, unless we are able to rent your reserved time
following your cancellation. We will send confirmation. A security
deposit of $200 is required upon arrival. You may pay this by bank check
or a charge card and it will be returned only after we see the cottage.
We ask that you leave the cottage as clean as you found it, without
damage or loss. We do accept most major credit cards.
We will offer a 10% discount to
kayak and biking guests who wish to stay @ Charlie's
Northland Lodge on North Hero Island. |

Our Lodge has a 3 guest rooms: 2 with double beds & 1 with a queen bed. Private and shared baths available. Air conditioning in each bedroom. Guest parlor with fireplace for all. The Lodge is not wheelchair accessible. WiFi available at the lodge.

Dorice may arrange an art class and a course to guests, entitled "How to Braid a Rug". The braiding course is two, two hour classes at the cost of $20 per person, per class. Dorice keeps extra wool; needle on hand for purchase to begin a class. Please request before arriving.

Charlie's is where the best fishing is. Spring,
summer & fall fish Carry Bay, Pelot Bay, Alburgh Passage and the
Inland Sea. In warmer months swim off of our private dock, sail,
kayak, wonderful biking, shopping or just plain relax. Dining is within walking distance at the “Inn at North Hero House", A short drive will take you to "Shore Acres Inn & Restaurant "or "Ruthcliffe Lodge" on Island of Isle la Motte. We would be happy to place a reservation for you. Our local store also offers coffee and muffins, soup, sandwiches, salads and pizza. Other Amenities:
