Vermont Vacation Rental Cottage

Lake Champlain, our " Little House in the Woods ", located on Pelot Bay, nestled in a cedar grove, back from the private beach by approx. 100 feet and with it's own dock, includes a 14 ft. fishing boat. The edge of the lawn has a high bank, however there is a ramp to the water.
Spacious unit completely furnished except linens & towels, unless previous arrangements are made.
The bay area is very quiet, no traffic, telephone & no neighbors. There is no housing in sight, except across the bay.
Available most all seasons, including winter.

DESCRIPTION OF OUR RENTALS

Greetings,

Warm months, fishing, boating, kayaking, hiking, wonderful biking or "just plain relaxing".
Private beach with dock.
Should you have 4-wheel drive, you may launch a boat there or a private launch @ Cary (Carry) Bay with a small fee.

In winter, bring the family or friend; come to ice fish the islands, even to x-ski the spacious meadows or skate the lake.

The cottage has easy access for one who is using a walker, a wheel chair may not manage.
This spacious unit including a screen porch overlooking the water. One bedroom with twin beds and a second bedroom with a queen, bath with shower fits nicely between. The island kitchen is part of the great room with a 1930's sideboard and even a glass china cupboard for extra's you may never need.

Located an hour south of Montreal, 30 miles north of Burlington, Vt. One hour to Jay Peak and Stowe Vt, ski-capitals of the east.
Mount Mansfield appears with good visibility from our picture window.

The Knight Point State Park , 2 miles south in North Hero has a sandy beach.

"Fishing is the mainstay of our business" says Charlie Clark, owner of Charlie's Northland on North Hero Island, Vermont.

This property has several acres of farm land, some wooded with a private road leading to Pelot Bay.(one-half mile walking distance ) on Northland Lane.
Northland Lane is between the lawyers office and Charlie's Northland. This cottage is on a bay, rents nightly ( x3 ) or weekly and for all seasons.

To reserve this cottage one-half of the cost is necessary and non-refundable unless we are able to rent your reserved time following your cancellation. We will send confirmation. A security deposit of $200 is required upon arrival. You may pay this by bank check or a charge card and it will be returned only after we see the cottage. We ask that you leave the cottage as clean as you found it, without damage or loss.

$225/per night (3 night minimum)

$995, June 9th to August 31 2007

$750 per week for off-season, May and early June. Also after Labor Day.
$995 for Christmas New years week.

Occupancy , comfortable for two - four people, however there is a Sealy Hi-riser in great room
(extra persons is $100 additional)

"Charlie's Northland Lodge"
rates are $115 private bath, per room per night, including a continental breakfast. Winter rates are the same and by reservation only, plus 9 % rooms tax.
A suite of two rooms, second floor; a double & a room with two twins, rate is $90 p/n per room or p/b, your choice.

Our Lodge has two rooms on the second floor private or s/bath.

One bedroom on first floor with a very new full bath & air conditioning.
Guest parlor with fireplace for all.
The Lodge is not wheelchair accessible though a walker would work.

Charlie and Dorice Clark , both have enjoyed many years of teaching along with their 41 years in business.

SPECIAL EVENTS

In the fall and winter months, Dorice may arrange an art class and a course to guests, entitled "How to Braid a rug".
Two, two hour classes cost is $25 per person, total. I keep on hand extra wool, needle etc. for purchase to begin a class. Please request before arriving.
Come for winter, ski the meadows; bring your skates; ice fish or "just plain relax.

Dining is in walking distance (close by)& super good food.
We enjoy the "Inn at North Hero House",
"Shore Acres Inn & Rest",
"Ruthcliffe Lodge" on Island of Isle la Motte.
Our local store offers soup, sandwich and
salad also pizza.
We would be happy to place a call for you.

In warmer months, fish, sail, kayak, wonderful biking, shopping or just plain relax. Forty-one years in business. Charlie's is where the best fishing is. Private docks and beach.
